Best PowerWash Dallas Gives Back!

Residential communities are amazing and wonderful things. Where else can you find a group of people all dedicated one single, unified goal: to improve their lives and their surroundings in order to create the best possible environment for their families and friends.

No one understands the power of a strong, family-oriented community than the leader of Best PowerWash Dallas, Mr. Kelly Crow! Kelly actually started his power washing company in the Dallas area in order to be closer to his own children, and has loved being a part of the Dallas / Ft. Worth community ever since.

Best PowerWash Dallas is grateful to be a part of such a wonderfully flourishing residential area, and we are always looking for opportunities to give back. As Kelly drove back and forth around his subdivision, picking up his children from school and their friends' houses, he noticed a basketball court in dire need of some rust removal services. The children in the subdivision played on the rusted court almost every day, and Kelly decided it was time for that to change.

The subdivision uses ground water from the wells to irrigate the yards. The only problem with this strategy is that it allows the iron oxide in the water to spread rust on the driveways, sidewalks, mailboxes, and - obviously - the basketball court. Kelly was able to use Best PowerWash Dallas' reverse oxidation process to safely and effectively remove the rust from the court.

Kelly also used his top-of-the-line surface cleaner to give the court a polished shine. Best PowerWash Dallas only uses safe cleaning chemicals that do not harm plants, grass, or animals.

Kelly is always looking for opportunities to give back to his community, and he was happy to help restore the basketball court at the Oak Shores subdivision in Cross Roads, Texas. Now, the basketball court and surrounding areas will continue to be a safe and enriching environment for our children, pets, and families.

Cleaning Brick, Stone, & Concrete - It's Not As Easy As It Looks!

How hard could it be to clean brick, stone or concrete? They're sturdy exterior surfaces... You just grab the nearest pressure washer and get to work, right?

Wrong.

Contrary to popular belief, brick, stone, and concrete are not as indestructible as they seem. High pressure washes, commonly used by less-knowledgeable power washing companies, can wash away surface particles on even very hard surfaces. Losing one tiny particle may not have a great impact, but losing several can damage the integrity of the surface.

High pressure washers (like this one) can damage
even seemingly indestructible surfaces.

What Does This Mean For Me?

Damaging the integrity of your brick, stone, or concrete will weaken the structure of your home or business, which can have disastrous - and dangerous - consequences. Life is full of unknowns already; the last thing you need is to worry that your home or business may not be safe for your guests/customers!

What Are My Options?

While the outlook may seem bleak, all is not lost! Best PowerWash Dallas can provide a solution that will enable you to safely clean your stone, brick, or concrete. We specialize in exterior steam washing and soft washing services in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. These methods promise to clean your surfaces efficiently and effectively, without causing damage like the high pressure wash.

Our surface cleaner spins at an impressive 2,000 rpm - 33 spins per second! In order to get the best clean for our customers, we utilize a chemical that will not harm grass, plants, or animals. This, combined with 250-degree steam, cleans your surface without causing any damage.

Our soft power washing technologies enable us to clean almost every surface, from concrete to wood to stucco. Estimates are always free, so give us a call today at (214) 553-0431!

The Man Behind The Curtain: Meet Kelly Crow!

Behind every great business is a visionary; someone who is willing to go above and beyond to make sure his or her company succeeds. For Best PowerWash Dallas, that visionary happens to be the one and only Mr. Kelly Crow! We believe it's important to get to know the people you trust with your business, so this week, we invite you to get to know Kelly a little bit better!

(Kelly is the first one on the left in the front row)
What was your source of inspiration behind Best PowerWash Dallas?
I was originally introduced to the industry by a colleague. As a hands-on homeowner, I had always used a high pressure washer. I noticed it did damage to the wood on the deck, as well as the mortar holding the brick. When there is a better way to do something, it always intrigues me. I researched the current methods and chemical applications and discovered that they produced better (and less damaging) results than the high water pressure methods I'd been using. This all led to the opportunity for me to move to the north Dallas area and be involved with my kids all of the time, instead of just part-time. It's been well worth it!

Where did you attend school? Were you a member of a fraternity?
Mizzou! I was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, or SAE. What a great way to go through the college experience! I'm still a devoted Tigers fan, and - thanks to the wonders of satellite TV - can still catch all of the games.

What is your favorite thing about your job?
Clients that say "Wow!" It can really surprise them, especially when you can get rust off of surfaces. Many of them have previously tried acid washes with inconsistent or damaging results.

Who is your family? Do you have any pets?
Kelly and his kiddos
(when they were much younger!)
I've got Jake the 7th grade athlete, who is currently playing middle linebacker (surprise, surprise). Kinsey is my 8th grade artist. She has traded her athletics in to concentrate on her studies and various creative endeavors. Kylie is a senior, and working hard at a part-time job while going to school. She's very dedicated and motivated to work towards her dream of becoming a medical doctor. Mom and Dad are still holding down the fort in Columbia, MO.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a fighter pilot. Their maneuverability and aerial acrobatics fascinate me to this day.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I suppose it would be to fly. It sure would come in handy during heavy traffic times!

What is something very few people know about you?
I secretly wore a pocket protector in college. I cut the top off so it wouldn't be noticeable, but it did keep ink off of my shirts!

Mold & Mildew Damage

They may seem like mild annoyances, but don't be fooled. Mold and mildew can wreak havoc on the structure of your home if not properly remedied. But never fear! Best PowerWash Dallas is here to help you protect your home.

Mold & Mildew Explained

"Mold" and "mildew" are words used to describe colonies of microscopic organisms (forms of fungi) that grow in warm, damp environments. There are slight differences between the two, but the effect of both is the same: if not completely removed, they can cause structural damage to your home as well as allergic reactions for the people in your home.

The Good News

In nature, molds and mildews are wonderful things. They grow in moist environments and break down leaves, woods, and other old materials. This decomposition process is an essential part of the Earth's regeneration cycle.

The Bad News

Unfortunately, it is mold's natural ability to break down organic materials that makes it so dangerous to the structure of your home. Molds can thrive on cardboard, carpets, EIFS, drywall, fabric, ceiling tiles, insulation, and other materials commonly found in homes. Molds and mildews also release microscopic spores into the air that, if inhaled, can cause allergic reactions in some people.

More Good News!

You can prevent the growth of mold and mildew by keeping your home clean, dry, and cool. Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and fans can work together to keep the moisture out of the air, which will make your home an unsuitable environment for mold or mildew.

If you have already developed a mold or mildew problem, don't worry! Luckily for you, the best power washing company in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area is here to help. We offer the industry's latest and greatest mold and mildew removal techniques to make your home as good as new quickly and effectively.

Our soft power washing technologies enable us to clean almost every surface, from concrete to wood to stucco. Estimates are always free, so give us a call today at (214) 553-0431!
